The Letchworth Open

The Letchworth Open is our annual celebration of visual arts in Letchworth. It provides an opportunity for anyone in our region’s community, from all ages, abilities and career levels, to become an exhibited artist in our beautiful Broadway Gallery.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Letchworth Open (which, due to COVID restrictions, had to take place online) The 2022 Letchworth Open will host over 300 art works, beautifully displayed within the Broadway Gallery space. We are delighted that this year, over 77% of the entrants are 1st time applicants, with media used including painting, ceramic sculpture, textile, design, photography and printing. Three artists will be awarded a £1000 bursary and a solo presentation of their work in the space in 2023. Additionally, there are 4 prizes awarded in relation to painting; drawing and illustration; photography and applied arts.
